7 Reasons Why We HEART Paul Walker

Inspirational-Icon-Paul-Walker-1It’s definitely heart breaking when we heard from the news saying Paul Walker died two years ago. Although he was best known for his role as Brian O’Conner in Fast & Furious franchise, there was a lot more we need to know about Paul. We assemble some seriously AWESOME FACTS you need to learn about this iconic American heartthrob – and the reasons why we love him so much!

1. A Very Positive Man
Paul Walker’s attitude to life was: “Just live your life to the fullest. Laugh a lot, love, and find your true happiness.” (As his brother, Cody Walker recalled) Which means he was so positive towards life. No wonder life gave him a great adventure when he was alive!

2. A Hardworking Celebrity
He was working since he was two! Did you know that his first job was modeling in a Pampers commercial in 1975? Since then, he began his journey in entertainment industries. He started working on television shows in 1985, with roles in shows such as Highway to HeavenWho’s the Boss? The Young and the Restless, and Touched by an Angel.
Then, his film career began in 1986, with the horror/comedy film Monster in the Closet. He finally gained fame when he was cast on Fast & Furious movie alongside his other half, Vin Diesel.

3. A Down-To-Earth Actor & Loyal Friend
Paul was such a humble person, and that’s why there were many people who enjoyed working with Paul. For example, some of his co-stars in Fast & Furious franchise confessed they were devastated when he was passed away, and stated that Paul was a good friend with them both on and off-screen. FYI, Vin Diesel named his newborn daughter (born in March 2015) Pauline, after his friend – what a heart melting brotherhood!

4. A Kind Humanitarian
In 2010, Paul founded a non-profit disaster relief organization called Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) to aid people on Haiti earthquake. “I’m a doer,” he said. “Whether it was the tsunami in Sri Lanka or the earthquake in Indonesia, I was always saying, I should be there; I should be helping out.” Since then, he was helping so many people through this organization. In fact, on the day he died, he was on his way to ROWW fundraiser event for Philippines Typhoon.

5. A Family Man
Even though Paul had many activities to do, he was still a family man – a good brother for his siblings, and a loving father to his only child, Meadow Walker. He was even considered quitting his acting career to be a full-time father for Meadow. It’s also said that his daughter was one of the reasons he kept acting, and often taking her with him when having to travel around!

6. A Man With Passion
Ladies always fall in love with a man who is passionate about his life – Paul was indeed a passionate man! Called himself: a “total gear head”, Paul collected raced cars and just like his Fast & Furious character Brian O’Conner, he owned a Nissan Skyline R34 (that he used on 2 Fast 2 Furious). Besides cars, he was having a great passion on marine biology (he filmed “Shark Men” with National Geographic crews as a result) and surfing – one of his favorite activities when he wasn’t filming.

7. A Religious Person
When lots of celebrities keep silent about whether or not they believe in a God, Paul Walker opened up about his religion. He once said, “I’m a Christian now. The things that drove me crazy growing up was how everyone works at fault-finding with different religions. The people I don’t understand are atheists. I go surfing and snowboarding and I’m always around nature. I look at everything and think, ‘Who couldn’t believe there’s a God? Is all this a mistake?’ It just blows me away.” Totally something we should learn from!

“It’s been a long day without you, my friend
And I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again
We’ve come a long way from where we began
Oh, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.”
